WASHINGTON — President Bush called for a judge early Monday morning to fill a vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court.

“Judge!” Bush said, raising his hand. “Judge, judge.”

After waiting for several minutes, the president expressed optimism that a judge would show up.

“It could be anyone,” Bush said. “Even a level one. I don’t care. Anybody. Judge, judge,” he added.

Bush then began using his other hand to prop up the weight of his arm, and asking random people passing by who work in the White House if they were judges.

“Are you a judge?” Bush asked. “Where’s a judge? What about you, are you a judge? Judge, judge, judge, judge,” he said, lifting his hand higher.
