My Special Walking Time

You know, Magic players can be a pretty sedentary bunch. It’s not good for your body or your spirit. And then it’s not good for your game.
That’s why I wanted to tell you about my special Walking Time.
I like to take time out of each day to take a short walk. This is my special Walking Time. My Walking Time is just for me — my way of rewarding myself with a little extra advantage.
It’s easy for you to have a Walking Time, too. Just say to yourself that you’re going to take five minutes out of each day. If you feel like making it more than five minutes, that’s fine. But a minimum of five minutes each day. Take this time, and then just briskly walk for that time. Before you know it, you’ll be looking forward to Walking Time each day more than you’ll be looking forward to most things. It’s as though everything during your day becomes compared with your special Walking Time.
It’s hard for me to put into words all the advantages you’ll feel from your Walking Time. It’s almost as though Walking Time is some sort of indescribable superadvantage for which there’s no metaphor.
The feeling will carry over into your Magic game. Walking Time makes you feel as though you’re drawing more cards. Untapping more permanents. Making extra attacks. It feels like a burst of energy that renews you so forcefully, your opponents will seem like they’re not moving, unable to do anything.
Sometimes my opponents, on the occasions that I do play, will ask me, “What did you just do to me? What just happened?” I always smile and tell them, “I just Walking Timed you. You just got Walking Timed.” They don’t know what to say.
Get out there and seize the advantage!
