PHILADELPHIA — Local Magic player Marvin Lursen has figured out that one consumed and empty box of Pocky brand chocolate covered biscuit sticks is the perfect size to hold an array of Magic: the Gathering Archenemy cards.
Lursen told The Magic Lampoon that he came to the amazingly coincidental realization purely because he constantly plays Magic: the Gathering and constantly eats Pocky.
“Who knew that among all the stars in the cosmos, right here on Earth we would find this delicious coincidence,” Lursen said.
“Unfortunately, I haven’t yet found anything that fits into a two-liter bottle of Mountain Dew,” he said.
“Which is all I drink,” he added.
Lursen said that the trick also works with Planechase cards, but that he hasn’t yet attempted the trick with a box of strawberry-cream-covered Pocky brand biscuit sticks.
“The best part about it is that you get to eat the Pocky first,” Lursen said. “But with strawberry, I’m not sure what might happen,” he added.

This is actually true, I tried it after reading it, and it’s a perfect fit. I now have a nice box for my planechase cards….now I wonder if the archenemy cards are the same size….
